A major European public-sector programme driving the development of large-scale, interoperable digital ecosystems across multiple domains. The organisation focuses on enabling secure, compliant, and scalable data-sharing environments, supporting innovation and collaboration between public and private stakeholders across Europe. They are currently seeking a Senior Architect to lead and govern architecture design across complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain overall solution and system architecture, ensuring alignment between business objectives, governance frameworks, and technical implementation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and interoperability standards across distributed platforms.
- Lead the design of scalable, secure, and federated architecture models supporting multi-organisation collaboration.
- Drive integration between platforms, services, and external ecosystems while maintaining architectural consistency.
- Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions with stakeholders, governance bodies, and delivery teams.
- Promote best practices in architecture governance, security-by-design, and operational readiness across the programme.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in enterprise or solution architecture within complex, distributed environments.
- Strong expertise in designing interoperable and scalable systems with a focus on data sharing and platform ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in large-scale programmes.
- Experience with cloud-based architectures, containerised environments, and API-driven integration.
- Strong knowledge of architecture methodologies and modelling approaches.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical domains.
