Our client, a leading international banking institution, is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join its growing Sustainable Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of ESG risk management, climate risk, sustainable finance, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic banking environment.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of sustainability frameworks, regulatory reporting, and ESG integration across the organization while engaging with senior stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and maintain the Bank's ESG risk framework, policies, and governance processes.
- Support the integration of ESG and climate-related risks into ICAAP, ILAAP, risk appetite, and credit risk processes.
- Lead and coordinate ESG regulatory disclosures and sustainability reporting requirements.
- Monitor and assess developments in European sustainable finance regulations and their impact on the business.
- Conduct ESG and climate risk analyses, including carbon footprint measurement and reporting.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and submissions for senior management, committees, and regulators.
- Provide ESG expertise and support for sustainable finance transactions, corporate lending, and client due diligence.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Business teams to advance sustainability initiatives.
Profile:
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Law, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in ESG risk, sustainable finance, climate risk, or regulatory-related roles within financial services, consulting, or advisory environments.
- Strong knowledge of European sustainable finance regulations, including CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, CRD/CRR ESG requirements, and ESG risk management frameworks.
- Experience with prudential risk processes such as ICAAP and ILAAP is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Python, or ESG data platforms is considered an advantage.
- Fluent English is required; additional European languages are a plus
