As a Mainframe System Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, evolution and modernization of the mainframe environment.
Responsibilities: · Operating, maintaining and upgrading z/OS environments · Supporting and contributing to mainframe LPAR migrations on new hardware generations · Managing hardware configuration activities in collaboration with vendors · Leading and supporting operating system upgrades and maintenance · Managing upgrades of third‑party mainframe software (DB2, CICS, COBOL, MQ, scheduling tools, etc.) · Ensuring service continuity, incident handling and operational readiness in line with ITIL practices
Qualifications and Skills: · Strong and proven expertise in z/OS · Hands-on experience with mainframe hardware migrations (e.g. new zSystems generations) · Experience working with IBM and/or third-party mainframe tools · Solid background in OS and middleware upgrades in production environments · Good understanding of ITIL processes (mandatory) · Ability to work in high-pressure environments with strong operational constraints
