We are seeking an experienced PMO/PM Head to define, implement, and lead an enterprise-wide project governance framework at our client, a bank. This role will ensure the effective execution of strategic initiatives, drive portfolio visibility, and enable consistent delivery standards across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities • Define and implement the PMO strategy, governance framework, and operating model
• Lead enterprise portfolio management, including prioritisation, planning, and reporting
• Establish and enforce standardised project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
• Provide governance and oversight for large-scale transformation and strategic programmes
• Deliver executive-level reporting and insights on portfolio performance, risks, and dependencies
• Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment between business strategy and project delivery
• Oversee resource planning, capacity management, and PMO tooling
• Develop and mature PMO capabilities, processes, and team structure
Requirements • 10+ years’ experience in project/programme management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record in building and leading enterprise PMOs
• Experience within banking or financial services environments
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex transformation initiatives
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Nice-to-Have • Experience in regulatory or compliance-driven projects
• Familiarity with portfolio management tools (e.g., Clarity, Planview, Jira Align)
• Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent)
