Position Title: Solution Architect – Telecom Digital Channels
Location: Dubai

Reports To: Director of Enterprise Architecture & Business Architecture
Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong expertise in the telecommunications industry and proven success delivering digital channel solutions. The role will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-quality solution designs across customer-facing digital platforms such as mobile apps, web portals, self-care, eCommerce, CRM, and omnichannel journeys.
The ideal candidate must be capable of leading the solution lifecycle from requirements understanding, architecture design, documentation, stakeholder alignment, vendor coordination, through delivery governance.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Requirements Understanding

Engage business stakeholders, product teams, and operations teams to understand functional and non-functional requirements.

Analyze business processes, customer journeys, and pain points.

Convert business needs into architecture-ready solution requirements.

Challenge unclear or weak requirements and propose better alternatives.
Solution Architecture & Design
-
Design end-to-end solutions across digital channels and telecom ecosystems.

Produce high-level and detailed solution designs covering:
Mobile apps
Web portals
CRM integration
API/middleware integration
Identity & access management
Billing / charging / BSS / OSS integration
Notifications / messaging / chatbot channels

Ensure scalability, security, resilience, and performance by design.

Define data flows, integrations, interfaces, and dependencies.
Documentation & Governance

Produce architecture deliverables including:
Solution Design Documents (SDD)
HLD / LLD
Integration diagrams
Sequence diagrams
API specifications support
Deployment views

Present solutions to Architecture Review Boards and governance forums.

Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and target state.
Delivery Support

Work closely with development teams, vendors, QA, DevOps, and project managers during implementation.

Clarify design decisions during sprints and execution phases.

Support SIT/UAT/go-live readiness.

Ensure delivered solutions match approved architecture.
Stakeholder Management

Coordinate across business, IT, vendors, and external partners.

Communicate complex technical designs in clear business language.

Drive decisions and resolve cross-domain issues.
Required Experience
-
Minimum 7 years of experience in Solution Architecture / Technical Architecture roles.

Strong experience within telecommunications operators or telecom technology vendors.

Proven experience delivering digital channel platforms, such as:

Strong experience integrating with telecom systems:
CRM, Billing, Charging / OCS, Order Management, Middleware / API Gateway and Identity systems
