A large and complex organization operating in a highly regulated environment, with a strong focus on data, reporting, and technology-driven transformation. The organization is looking to strengthen its IT team by bringing in a Functional Data Analyst to support business stakeholders and translate requirements into high-quality, data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear, structured features and user stories
• Validate features with business users, technical teams, and solution architects
• Contribute to the design and alignment of solution components across projects and applications
• Break down features into releasable sprint increments and support backlog management
• Create functional analyses enabling development teams to implement solutions effectively
• Document features, analyses, and user stories in tools such as Jira and Confluence

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in business and/or functional analysis within complex environments
• Strong knowledge of Finance & Risk reporting (e.g. Solvency II, BGAAP, IFRS 4/9/17)
• Advanced SQL Server expertise, including reverse engineering stored procedures and BI/DWH concepts
• Experience with BI tools, SSIS/ETL processes, and data integration solutions
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and writing clear user stories
• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French
