Data Engineer – AWS / Databricks (m/f/d)

We are supporting a client in the evolution of their data platform and are looking for a Medior–Senior Data Engineer to help bring the platform to the next level in terms of scalability, governance, and reliability.
The consultant will join an existing data environment built on Databricks on AWS and contribute to strengthening data pipelines, platform foundations, and best practices across teams.
Responsibilities:
· Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Databricks using PySpark and SQL
· Contribute to the evolution of a lakehouse architecture (bronze / silver / gold layers)
· Optimize ETL/ELT workflows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
· Support and enhance data governance and access control mechanisms
· Improve platform automation, deployment processes, and operational robustness
· Implement monitoring, data quality checks, and observability practices
· Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and other technical stakeholders
· Actively contribute to improving standards, documentation, and engineering best practices
Qualifications and Skills:
· Medior to Senior Data Engineer with hands-on experience on Databricks in AWS
· Strong background in building production-grade data pipelines
· Solid understanding of data modeling and lakehouse best practices
· Experience working on data platforms, not only isolated pipelines
· Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating across teams
· Proactive mindset with the ability to improve existing systems
