Senior Property or Marine Cargo Underwriter (m/f/d)

Our client specialized in the sector of the Insurance is currently seeking a competent Underwriter for Property or Marine Cargo Line.
Main responsibilities:
• Responsible for multi-lines business but mainly to focus on Property & Cargo portfolios KPIs performance of the local and Chinese coporates clientsu focusing on Dutch market.
• Apply all Underwriting elements for new business & renewals in handling the assignments of the highest complexity and works within delegated authorities, measuring exposure & analyzing risk,
determining technical price according to certified/agreed pricing process, quoting & setting coverage, negotiating terms & conditions.
• Manage underwriting activities to ensure they are in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Formulate the underwriting guidelines, premium rating tariff and corresponding standards, instructions and good practices to minimize risks and maximize efficiency.
• Provide technical and specialist product expertise to corporate clients on the range of products offered.
• Actively collaborate with reinsurers on treaty renewals and facultative placements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and other distributors in support of business retention and acquisition. Work with customers and distributors to determine their insurance related needs & provide solutions, and contribute to the development of propositions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• At least 5 years of underwriting experience in the Property or Marine Cargo line of the Dutch Market with good multi-lines underwriting knowledge.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and overcoming difficult issues with brokers and creating and delivering programs for addressing the needs of multiple or large accounts.
