Cloud Security and Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain cloud network architectures including VPC/VNet design, segmentation, routing, DNS, ingress/egress, and hybrid connectivity.
• Engineer and operate secure connectivity solutions including site-to-site VPNs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, and transit routing configurations.
• Implement and manage network security controls such as firewalls, network security groups, WAF, and DDoS protections.
• Automate network provisioning and configuration using infrastructure-as-code tools and reusable modules.
• Improve reliability, availability, and maintainability through resilient network designs across regions and availability zones.
• Support capacity planning, performance optimization, and cloud cost optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cloud platform, security, and application teams through Git-based workflows and structured design reviews.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong experience in cloud networking within AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Solid understanding of routing concepts, network security principles, and API-driven automation.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native networking services.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues in production environments.
• Strong ownership mindset for network reliability and security, with excellent communication skills.
• Disciplined approach to change management, peer review, and operational standards.
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on automation and standardization.
