Cloud Security Engineer (AWS & Azure)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and continuously enhance cloud security posture, including vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation.
• Perform threat modelling and implement preventative and detective security controls across cloud platforms.
• Respond to and support investigation of cloud security incidents and escalations in a timely and structured manner.
• Implement governance controls including policies, RBAC, and least-privilege access configurations.
• Define and maintain secure cloud architecture patterns and configuration standards for consistent adoption.
• Partner with cloud engineering and operations teams to embed security into pipelines and delivery workflows.
• Communicate security risks and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in cloud security engineering across AWS and Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of identity, access management, governance, and security monitoring.
• Experience working with cloud-native security tools and security posture management platforms.
• Ability to act as a security advocate while enabling, not blocking, delivery teams.
• Sound judgement under pressure during security incidents.
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present risk clearly to varied audiences.
