Java Developer (m/f/d)
A large organization operating in a complex IT environment, delivering business‑critical applications that support core operations and digital services. The organization is strengthening its IT department and is looking for a Java Developer to contribute to application development, maintenance, and continuous improvement in close collaboration with business and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and validate functional analyses and technical specifications
- Develop, adapt, and maintain Java-based applications in line with development standards
- Perform code reviews, testing activities, and support release management
- Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions
- Maintain clear and up‑to‑date technical documentation
- Support business users and collaborate with IT teams throughout the application lifecycle
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in IT or equivalent experience
- Strong expertise in Java (7/8/11/17) and Spring, with solid backend development skills
- Experience with SQL Server, application servers, and integration technologies (REST, SOAP)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins)
- Knowledge of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and secure coding
- Fluent in English and either Dutch or French
