Microsoft Cloud Engineer (M365 Operations & Azure IaaS/PaaS Operations) (m/f/d)

A large enterprise undergoing a major digital transformation initiative, focused on modernizing its digital services and strengthening the reliability, security, and efficiency of its cloud operations. The organization is seeking Cloud Engineers to support the ongoing operation, stability, and compliance of its cloud platforms.
Responsibilities:
Common to Both Cloud Engineers:
• Operate and support enterprise cloud services in alignment with approved architecture standards, governance controls, and operational procedures.
• Execute IT service management processes (incident, request, problem, change) to ensure stable and controlled operations.
• Maintain operational readiness documentation including runbooks, monitoring configurations, escalation paths, and known‑error records.
• Translate design requirements into actionable configuration and operational tasks, raising risks or gaps for timely resolution.
Cloud Engineer A – Collaboration & Productivity Services:
• Administer and support collaboration and productivity platforms, including configuration, health monitoring, policy management, and operational maintenance.
• Troubleshoot service issues end‑to‑end and coordinate with global support channels as needed.
Cloud Engineer B – Infrastructure & Platform Services:
• Operate and optimize cloud infrastructure services, including compute, storage, networking, identity integration, and monitoring.
• Implement operational controls aligned with well‑architected principles, ensuring secure configuration, performance, and resilience.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Strong knowledge of cloud services and their operation within IT service management frameworks (e.g., incident, change, problem, and service transition).
• Hands‑on experience supporting infrastructure services such as virtual machines, containers, serverless components, storage, and networking.
• Working knowledge of collaboration and productivity platforms, including tenant configuration, service health monitoring, and identity access controls.
• Solid understanding of identity and access management principles, including authentication, authorization, and secure service‑to‑service integration.
• Experience operating cloud services within regulated environments, adhering to governance, security, and compliance policies.
• Ability to collaborate with regional and global teams and work within structured governance and change‑control processes.
