A leading organization operating within a large scale, mission critical technology environment is seeking a Monitoring Lead / SME to drive its enterprise monitoring and observability strategy. The role focuses on ensuring high availability of core business services through proactive monitoring, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Define, implement, and maintain the organization’s end-to-end monitoring and observability strategy for applications and infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor monitoring teams, ensuring effective operations, incident handling, and service visibility.
• Oversee monitoring design, integrations, and enhancements across diverse environments and systems.
• Collaborate with architecture, development, and operations teams to enable full stack observability and improved service performance.
• Drive automation, predictive analytics, and self-healing capabilities to enhance service resilience.
• Present monitoring insights, health trends, and improvement initiatives to senior stakeholders while ensuring compliance with operational standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
• 7+ years of experience in monitoring, observability, or IT operations, including leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes across on premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Expertise in observability practices such as logs, metrics, traces, distributed monitoring, and event correlation.
• Proven ability to manage and guide support teams across multiple levels.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.
• Strong experience with capacity planning, compliance processes, and monitoring roadmap development.
