Regulatory Capital Analyst — Basel III & Moody's (m/f/d)

A leading financial institution is undergoing a critical regulatory technology transformation, implementing and automating core capital reporting infrastructure to meet evolving Basel III requirements. The organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Resource with deep expertise in the Basel III Standardised Approach (Pillar 1) and hands-on experience with Moody's Risk Authority to support and drive this high-priority initiative. Responsibilities:• Manage and oversee weekly Moody's production runs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of regulatory capital outputs.• Perform data validation, variance analysis, and issue resolution to maintain the integrity of capital reporting processes.• Apply advanced knowledge of Basel III Standardised Approach (Pillar 1) including RWA calculations, exposure classification, Credit Risk Mitigation (CRM), and regulatory reporting logic.• Support the implementation and automation of Moody's Risk Authority, contributing to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.• Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate regulatory data from core banking systems.• Utilise tools such as Alteryx, Python, and Power BI to automate reporting workflows and enhance data visualisation.• Ensure alignment of capital reporting outputs with CBUAE and internal regulatory requirements.• Collaborate with risk, finance, and technology teams to resolve data quality issues and support ongoing regulatory change programmes.• Provide weekend availability as required to support production runs and ensure continuity of regulatory reporting. Qualifications and Skills:• Strong expertise in Basel III Standardised Approach (Pillar 1), including RWA calculations, exposure classification, CRM, and regulatory reporting logic.• Hands-on experience managing Moody's Risk Authority production runs, including data validation, variance analysis, and issue resolution.• Minimum 5 years' experience in capital or regulatory reporting within a banking environment.• Strong SQL skills with the ability to extract and manipulate large datasets from complex banking data environments.• Working knowledge of automation and analytics tools such as Alteryx, Python, and Power BI.• Solid understanding of CBUAE regulatory reporting requirements and Basel framework reforms.• Availability to work 5 days per week, with weekend availability for production run support.• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced banking environment.
