The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer with 7+ years of experience designing, automating, securing, and operating enterprise cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have led complex cloud transformation initiatives, built scalable GCP landing zones, developed enterprise Terraform frameworks, and delivered modern DevSecOps capabilities within regulated environments such as banking, financial services, telecom, energy, utilities, or government.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise-scale GCP platforms, landing zones, cloud foundations, and cloud-native architectures. Lead large-scale modernization and migration initiatives, implement Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform, and establish secure, automated delivery pipelines across development and production environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD frameworks using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, and Jenkins. Implement automated testing, security controls, release orchestration, and deployment strategies across GKE, Cloud Run, and containerized workloads.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules, govern state management and drift detection processes, automate provisioning of networking, IAM, Kubernetes, compute, and storage resources, and enforce enterprise compliance through code.
- Partner closely with Cloud Architecture, Security, and Engineering teams to implement DevSecOps best practices, observability frameworks, logging, monitoring, reliability engineering, and cloud governance controls.
- Integrate GCP platforms with enterprise systems including CMDB, change management, approval workflows, asset management platforms, DNS services, and security tooling through APIs and automation.
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 7 years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Cloud Architecture
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience
- Proven delivery experience on large-scale cloud transformation or modernization programmes
- Strong background within banking, financial services, telecom, energy, utilities, government, or other critical infrastructure environments
- Advanced Terraform expertise including reusable modules, enterprise IaC frameworks, governance, policy enforcement, and automation
- Deep experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Jenkins, DevSecOps, and release automation
- Strong Kubernetes and containerization expertise including GKE, Docker, Helm, service mesh technologies, and GitOps practices
- Hands-on experience across Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, VPC, Cloud DNS, Cloud Run, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Artifact Registry, and Cloud Build
- Strong networking and security fundamentals including Shared VPC, Cloud DNS, Interconnect, IAM, KMS, Secrets Management, firewall policies, and Zero Trust principles
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Go, or Bash
- Agile delivery experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher

Ideal Candidate Profile
You have delivered enterprise GCP platforms at scale, built Terraform-led cloud foundations, implemented sophisticated CI/CD ecosystems, and contributed to complex transformation programmes in highly regulated environments. You are comfortable operating in fast-paced enterprise settings, influencing architecture decisions, and solving difficult platform engineering challenges while working with globally distributed teams.
