An innovative technology company operating in the electrification sector is seeking a Hardware Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of next-generation electronic control units for demanding automotive applications. The role focuses on electronic design, circuit development, product validation, and collaboration with global engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic hardware solutions for embedded automotive applications.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, component selection, and technical documentation.
  • Perform circuit analysis and design reviews to ensure compliance with performance, reliability, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with PCB design teams to support layout activities and design optimisation.
  • Support validation, testing, and industrialisation activities throughout the development process.
  • Participate in technical discussions with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers while contributing to issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in electronic hardware design, circuit development, and product validation.
  • Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics, PCB design principles, and component selection.
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI design considerations and robust electronic design methodologies.
  • Familiarity with functional safety concepts and risk analysis techniques within embedded systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional international teams.
