Project Description – Storage Consultant (Hamburg) - 12 months

We are seeking an experienced Storage Consultant to support our customer in Hamburg Germany, starting as soon as possible. The consultant is expected to work min. 4 days per week onsite, with the contract running until the end of the year and a high likelihood of yearly extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical expert in direct contact with customer stakeholders and transnational teams.
• Implement and support SAN infrastructure (SAN Switches, HPE 3PAR/Primera/Alletra), including updates, improvements, and tooling.
• Design and validate storage architecture and configuration changes.
• Support external operational teams (Broadcom SAN, HPE Storage) at L3+ level.
• Perform performance reviews and implement optimizations (QoS, tuning, high availability).
• Manage incidents and problems across SAN and storage environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices.
• Support capacity planning, hardware lifecycle, and data center implementation.
• Provide multi-source reporting using tools like SSMC, SANnav, Tableau, and scripting languages.

Required Skills:

• Deep practical knowledge of HPE 3PAR / Primera / Alletra and Brocade SAN environments.
• Strong experience with performance tuning, migrations, zoning, and obsolescence management.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, Perl, PHP, MySQL) and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with tools such as SSMC, SANnav, Arxview, Tableau, and Unix-based development.
• Basic understanding of VMware, Hyper-V, Linux, Windows, Proliant, SSL Certificates.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Qlik, Google Suite, Confluence, DCIM, BMC Patrol/Zabbix.

• Fluent English is mandatory; French and German are optional.
