Responsibilities

• Act as a business advisor to stakeholders on securities-related processes and system capabilities

• Gather, analyse, and challenge business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory constraints

• Translate business needs into:

  • Functional specifications
  • Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
  • User stories / test scenarios

• Provide expertise on securities domain, including:

  • Equities, bonds, funds, derivatives
  • Corporate actions lifecycle (dividends, coupons, splits, redemptions)
  • Trade lifecycle (order → execution → settlement → reconciliation)

• Conduct gap analysis and solution design, proposing improvements and best practices across systems and processes

• Work closely with IT teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements into system functionalities (e.g., T24, Avaloq, or other core banking platforms)

• Define and execute functional testing activities, including:

  • Test strategy and planning
  • Test case design and execution
  • SIT / UAT coordination
  • Defect management and resolution

• Validate end-to-end business scenarios, ensuring system changes meet business and regulatory expectations

• Support regulatory and reporting requirements (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, FATCA, etc.)

• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and user adoption activities

• Act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring clear communication and alignment

• 5+ years (ideally 8+) as a Business Analyst and/or Functional Tester in banking or financial services

• Strong expertise in securities / capital markets domain

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Securities processing
  • Corporate actions
  • Portfolio/asset management
  • Trade and position management
• Experience working with core banking or securities platforms (e.g., Temenos T24, Avaloq, Murex, Calypso, SimCorp, etc.)
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and provide advisory input, not just gather requirements
• Ability to challenge business needs and recommend optimized solutions
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
• Knowledge of wealth management / private banking
