Our Client:
Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the finance function of the UAE entity, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, robust financial governance, and effective treasury management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end finance and accounting function for the UAE entity, ensuring accurate financial records, IFRS compliance, and timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting packages.
- Own all UAE tax and statutory compliance requirements, including VAT filings, Corporate Tax compliance, regulatory submissions, and coordination with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Lead the company’s e-invoicing readiness and compliance initiatives, ensuring finance systems and invoicing processes remain aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the centralized accounting and settlement process for collections, including revenue allocation, profit centre accounting, invoice validation, reconciliations, and partner settlements.
- Oversee reconciliations with banks, payment gateways, ICP, partners, and subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Manage intercompany accounting activities, including recharge billing, reconciliations, settlements, transfer pricing support, and balance confirmations across group entities.
- Oversee treasury operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, cash flow management, and working capital controls.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring timely execution of financial activities and continuous capability development.
- Collaborate with Operations, HR, Procurement, Commercial, and Legal teams to support budgeting, commercial contracts, business initiatives, and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, internal controls, ERP optimization, automation initiatives, and governance frameworks.
Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
Experience:
- 8-12 years of finance and accounting experience, including responsibility for a legal entity finance function with multiple entities.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounting, and statutory compliance.
- Proven expertise in VAT, Corporate Tax, regulatory compliance, and audit management within the UAE.
- Experience in treasury management, cash flow monitoring, reconciliations, revenue accounting, and settlement processes.
- Strong understanding of intercompany accounting, financial controls, and ERP-based finance operations.
- Experience in regulated and transaction-intensive industries such as retail, BPO, banking, government services, or hospitality is preferred.
