A leading organization operating in the financial services sector, delivering complex IT and data solutions to support regulatory reporting and business performance. The company is currently strengthening its data and reporting capabilities and is looking for an experienced Functional Data Analyst to support large-scale transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Translate and validate business requirements into functional features in collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams
- Design and contribute to solution architecture, ensuring alignment across projects, applications, and teams
- Break down features into user stories and define clear functional analyses to support development teams
- Analyze existing systems and identify areas for optimization and continuous improvement
- Support Agile processes, including backlog management, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
- Produce and maintain documentation (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and support test case definition and execution
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business and/or functional analysis within complex environments
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting frameworks (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS) and data-driven environments
- Solid expertise in SQL Server, including reverse engineering of stored procedures and ETL processes (SSIS)
- Experience with BI/DWH environments and data modelling concepts (BPMN, UML)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect (or equivalent)
- Fluent in English with either French or Dutch; strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
