Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and maintain High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure (clusters, storage, networking)
  • Optimize performance of compute-intensive applications (parallel computing, distributed workloads)
  • Manage workload schedulers (e.g. Slurm, PBS, LSF) and ensure resource allocation efficiency
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure high availability
  • Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and researchers to adapt applications for HPC environments
  • Implement security, automation, and infrastructure-as-code best practices

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Linux system administration (RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu)
  • Proven expertise in HPC environments (clusters, GPUs, InfiniBand, parallel file systems such as Lustre/GPFS)
  • Knowledge of parallel computing frameworks (MPI, OpenMP, CUDA)
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based HPC solutions (AWS ParallelCluster, Azure HPC, or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex, high-performance environments
