Job Title: Network Security Engineer 
Location: Riyadh, KSA 
Years of Experience: 5-9 years (Mid-Senior)
Duration: 6 months (Extendable)
Seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with hands-on experience in Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), Next Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), and a strong understanding of networking and system security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting security infrastructure, with a primary focus on protecting web applications, maintaining secure network architecture, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and manage WAF policies and configurations (e.g., F5, Nginx) to guard against web application threats (including OWASP Top 10, DDoS attacks, bots, etc.)
  • Implement and maintain network security architectures, including firewalls (such as Palo Alto), VPNs, load balancers, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Deploy and manage network and security instances within cloud infrastructures.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic for anomalies, security breaches, and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and application teams to integrate security best practices.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative controls.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including network and security diagrams and standard operating procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards (NCA) and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and advancements in cybersecurity and networking technologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in network/security engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with F5 WAF (ASM or Advanced WAF), including policy creation, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, BGP) and security technologies (IPS/IDS, NGFWs, SIEM, DLP, etc.)
  • Solid experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) and load balancers.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments.
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation and log analysis.
  • Good understanding of SSL/TLS, certificate management, and encryption standards.
  • Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack) is a plus.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), PaloAlto, CISSP, CEH, CCNP Security, or GIAC) are highly desirable.
