PMO Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced PMO Analyst to support the successful delivery of strategic projects and programmes within a dynamic enterprise environment.

This role will be responsible for providing project governance, performance reporting, portfolio visibility, and project controls support to the PMO and delivery teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with established methodologies, governance frameworks, and organizational standards while providing meaningful insights through analysis and reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Project Management Office (PMO) Operations, Project Controls, Portfolio Reporting, Governance, Performance Analysis, and Stakeholder Management, with the ability to coordinate across multiple projects and provide accurate and actionable management information.


Key Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor project milestones, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive PMO dashboards, KPI reports, executive summaries, and management presentations.
  • Consolidate project information across multiple initiatives to provide portfolio-level reporting and visibility.
  • Support project governance activities, including stage-gate reviews, steering committee reporting, compliance tracking, and documentation management.
  • Analyse project performance and identify schedule delays, cost variances, resource constraints, delivery risks, and emerging trends.
  • Maintain and manage key project artefacts including project plans, RAID logs, status reports, resource allocations, and governance records.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, programme teams, and business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Support project and portfolio review processes, ensuring adherence to governance standards and delivery methodologies.
  • Produce regular performance reports and insights to support decision-making by senior leadership.
  • Assist in forecasting, capacity planning, resource tracking, and project prioritisation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting frameworks, templates, and delivery controls.
  • Support the implementation of project management best practices across the organization.
  • Ensure consistency in project reporting, documentation, and governance standards across the project portfolio.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience within a PMO, Project Controls, Project Coordination, Project Support, Business Analysis, or Reporting function.

  • Strong expertise in:

    • PMO Reporting
    • Project Controls
    • Portfolio Management Support
    • Governance & Compliance
    • Performance Analysis
    • Project Coordination
  • Experience supporting complex projects and programmes within structured delivery environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Advanced proficiency in:

    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience preparing executive-level dashboards, reports, and presentations.

  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and project lifecycle management.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.

  • Experience working within project governance and reporting frameworks.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting enterprise PMOs or large transformation programmes.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Power BI
    • Microsoft Project
    • Jira
    • Primavera P6
    • Project Portfolio Management (PPM) platforms
  • Knowledge of project portfolio reporting and resource management practices.

  • Experience creating automated dashboards and management reporting solutions.

  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking within project environments.

  • Exposure to Agile delivery, hybrid methodologies, and transformation initiatives.

  • Experience within banking, financial services, technology, infrastructure, or consulting environments is advantageous.


Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Professional certifications such as the following are advantageous:
