QA Engineer- Banking
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong experience in web automation and API testing to join a leading enterprise programme within the banking sector.
This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in modern automation frameworks such as Playwright with TypeScript, along with strong knowledge of API automation and quality engineering best practices. You will play a critical role in ensuring application quality, performance, and reliability across digital platforms.
Candidates must be immediately available or on short notice.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
- Execute end-to-end automated test scripts for web applications and digital platforms
- Perform API automation testing, ensuring integration reliability and performance
- Develop and execute functional, regression, and integration test cases
- Work closely with development and product teams to ensure quality-first delivery
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
- Identify defects, track issues, and support resolution across the SDLC
- Contribute to test strategy, framework improvements, and automation best practices
- Support validation using tools such as TestGorilla (web automation assessments) where applicable
- Ensure compliance with banking domain quality standards and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7–12+ years of experience in QA and test automation
- Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript
- Proven experience in web automation testing for modern applications
- Strong experience in API automation testing (REST APIs, tools such as Postman, etc.)
- Experience with test framework design and maintenance
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Experience working in banking or financial services environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation integration
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
- Immediate joiners or short notice candidates preferred
