We are looking for a senior Business Analyst in Budgeting, Cost Management & Financial Planning for an ERP Transformation project to join our client, a big financial institution.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, assessment, and optimization of Budgeting, Cost Management, and Financial Planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Define and document Target Operating Models (TOMs), end-to-end business processes, and functional requirements to support finance transformation initiatives.
  • Support ERP transformation programmes by conducting fit/gap analyses, evaluating solution capabilities, and ensuring business requirements are aligned with standard ERP functionalities and market standards.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with finance stakeholders, subject matter experts, IT teams, vendors, and external partners to gather, validate, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Contribute to ERP selection and system integrator procurement activities through the preparation of business use cases, evaluation criteria, requirements documentation, and solution assessments.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, including process maps, business requirements, impact assessments, fit/gap analyses, and decision-support documentation, ensuring full traceability and consistency.
  • Support programme governance and decision-making by providing structured analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, challenging legacy processes, and promoting simplification, standardization, and ERP best practices.


Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Finance Transformation, ERP-enabled transformation programmes, or large-scale business process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in Budgeting, Cost Management, and Financial Planning processes, including planning and forecasting cycles, cost allocation methodologies, financial performance management, and budgeting frameworks.
  • Proven experience delivering ERP implementation programmes involving leading enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent, including design workshops, requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, and solution evaluation.
  • Extensive experience defining Target Operating Models, business processes, and functional requirements within complex, multi-stakeholder organizational environments.
  • Strong understanding of ERP capabilities, finance best practices, and end-to-end finance process interdependencies, with the ability to align requirements to standard ERP functionality.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and documentation skills, with the ability to produce structured, decision-ready deliverables and operate effectively in controlled and auditable environments.


Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with ERP budgeting, planning, and performance management modules.
  • Experience supporting ERP selection programmes and system integrator procurement activities.
  • Experience within financial institutions, public sector organisations, or other regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, process modelling techniques, and requirements management frameworks.
  • Proven ability to challenge legacy-driven practices and drive process simplification, harmonization, and adoption of ERP best practices.
