Senior Data Center Architect (all gender)
For an internationally operating company, we are looking for a Senior Data Center Architect to take a leading role in shaping and evolving modern infrastructure platforms and hybrid cloud environments.
In this position, you will be responsible for the architecture, standardization, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure services across global environments. You will work closely with international IT teams and stakeholders to develop scalable, resilient, and future-ready infrastructure solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and further development of enterprise IT infrastructure platforms
- Define and enhance global standards for core infrastructure services
- Drive the evolution of server, storage, virtualization, and backup environments
- Enhance modern backup, recovery, and resilience strategies
- Support and expand hybrid infrastructure platforms across on-premises environments and Microsoft Azure IaaS
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization, automation, and standardization initiatives
- Design sustainable, scalable, and highly available platform architectures
- Support the development of technology roadmaps and long-term infrastructure strategies
- Collaborate closely with international IT teams, business stakeholders, and technical experts
- Provide guidance on complex architectural and technical decisions
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous technical development within the team
Your Profile
- Several years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure environments
- Strong expertise in datacenter technologies, virtualization, server infrastructure, and platform operations
- Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and resilience concepts
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and hybrid cloud architectures
- Good understanding of modern architecture, automation, and operational practices
- Experience developing and implementing technical standards
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Team-oriented, self-driven, and solution-focused mindset
- Very good German and English language skills
