A leading European organisation operating in the public sector, delivering complex digital transformation programmes across multiple government institutions and agencies. The organisation focuses on designing secure, interoperable, and compliant IT ecosystems, supporting critical initiatives in defence, security, and cross-border collaboration. They are currently seeking a Senior IT Architect to drive end-to-end architecture design and governance across large-scale programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Define target architectures, integration patterns, and transition roadmaps across hybrid and multi-environment systems.
- Lead architecture governance activities, ensuring full coverage of non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and resilience.
- Embed security and privacy principles into solution design, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and organisational policies.
- Produce architecture artefacts including blueprints, integration models, and risk or compliance assessments.
- Support pre-sales and delivery teams by contributing to solution reviews, proposals, and reusable architectural assets.
- Facilitate workshops and align stakeholders across multiple organisations, ensuring consistent and scalable solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong experience (8+ years) in enterprise, solution, or technical architecture roles within complex environments.
- Proven expertise in architecture frameworks and modelling methodologies.
- Solid background in designing secure systems within highly regulated or sensitive environments.
- Experience with cloud, hybrid infrastructures, container-based environments, and system integration approaches.
- Good understanding of compliance, risk management, and security governance practices.
- Fluent in English, with additional language skills considered an asset.
