The organisation is currently undertaking a major transformation programme to modernise legacy applications into scalable, event-driven and service-oriented platforms.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the migration of legacy systems to modern event-driven and service-oriented architectures within an agile team
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT solutions, ensuring alignment with both functional and non-functional requirements
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and engineering best practices
- Maintain consistency across platforms and teams by coordinating solution walkthroughs and alignment activities
- Contribute to hands-on development while supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Ensure design and development activities adhere to established quality standards and guidelines
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong experience across the full software development lifecycle, from design to production support
- Solid expertise in object-oriented programming and modern backend development practices
- Proven experience building and delivering distributed and service-based solutions
- Experience working with containerised environments and deploying applications on Unix/Linux systems
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including behaviour-driven and test-driven development
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills within agile and collaborative environments
