Senior Product Manager – Financial Services & AI-Enabled Products
Client is an enterprise-grade banking software and financial technology organization delivering products in highly regulated environments.
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep experience in Financial Services, Payments, Settlement Systems, and Banking Platforms, combined with the ability to operate effectively in an AI-enabled product ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of owning complex products from concept through scale, working closely with engineering, business stakeholders, regulators, and clients. While this is not an AI Product Manager role, practical AI knowledge and the ability to apply AI within financial services products and operations are essential.
You will initially own a key product area and work with a focused team, with the opportunity to expand into larger product portfolios and team leadership responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery, business requirements, and product strategy through implementation, rollout, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the development of enterprise-grade financial products, with a focus on payments, settlement systems, transaction processing, regulatory platforms, or related financial infrastructure.
- Translate business requirements, regulatory obligations, and customer needs into scalable product solutions.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define product architecture, functional requirements, prioritization, and delivery plans.
- Drive product roadmap development and strategic planning aligned to business objectives.
- Apply AI capabilities to improve products, processes, customer experiences, and operational efficiency within financial services environments.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, regulators, vendors, and external partners.
- Lead complex product initiatives independently while balancing business, technology, regulatory, and operational considerations.
- Mentor junior product professionals and contribute to building a high-performing product organization.
- Support product innovation efforts, including the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies relevant to financial services.
Required Qualifications
Financial Services & Product Management
- 10+ years of experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, Payments, Insurance, or related regulated industries.
- Significant experience as a Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, Product Lead, or equivalent product ownership role.
- Proven ownership of products throughout the full lifecycle, from discovery and design through launch, adoption, and scale.
- Demonstrated success building products from concept (0→1) through commercial deployment and growth.
Payments & Financial Infrastructure
- Strong understanding of one or more of the following:
- Payments
- Settlement systems
- Transaction processing platforms
- Banking infrastructure
- Open Banking/Open Finance
- Regulatory platforms
- Core banking products
- Ability to discuss payment flows, transaction lifecycles, controls, regulatory considerations, and operational impacts at a product level.
Technical & AI Capability
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage engineering teams and understand product architecture, integrations, APIs, platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Practical experience applying AI capabilities within product environments, such as:
- Intelligent automation
- AI-powered customer experiences
- Copilots and assistants
- Decision support systems
- Operational efficiency use cases
- Agentic AI workflows
- Ability to evaluate how AI can improve financial products and business processes.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Demonstrated experience leading large, complex initiatives independently.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across:
- Executive leadership
- Clients
- Engineering teams
- Product teams
- Regulatory and compliance stakeholders
- External partners
- Experience building, mentoring, or leading product teams.
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Experience within commercial banking, payment networks, financial infrastructure providers, central bank initiatives, or government-related financial programs.
- Experience with Open Banking, Open Finance, digital identity, regulatory technology, or financial data platforms.
- Experience operating within UAE, GCC, UK, European, Singaporean, Hong Kong, or similar highly regulated financial markets.
- Exposure to AI platform products, data products, analytics platforms, or intelligent automation initiatives.
- Background in software engineering, solution architecture, data engineering, or other technical disciplines prior to product management.
Success Metrics. Within the first 12 months, success will be measured by the candidate's ability to:
