Senior UX/UI Designer
Location: Abu Dhabi (On-site) Reports to: Head of Design Contract: 12 Month Extendable
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to lead the design of high-impact digital products across a complex, regulated industry environment. This role combines strategic thinking, hands-on design execution, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management to deliver intuitive, accessible, and scalable digital experiences.
You will drive end-to-end product design across web and mobile platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to create user-centered solutions that balance business objectives, technical feasibility, and user needs.
Key Responsibilities End-to-End Product Design
Lead the full design lifecycle from discovery and research through wireframing, prototyping, visual design, testing, and implementation.
Create information architecture, customer journeys, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile products.
Develop detailed design specifications and support engineering teams during implementation.
Ensure products meet usability, accessibility, and localization standards.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Facilitate workshops, design reviews, and alignment sessions with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Present design concepts, recommendations, and rationale to leadership audiences.
Translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive user experiences.
Build strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, Data, Research, and business teams. [
Design Leadership & Vendor Management
Manage and guide external design partners and vendor teams.
Establish clear briefs, review deliverables, and maintain high-quality design standards.
Mentor designers and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with organizational objectives.
Design Systems & Governance
Contribute to the development and governance of design systems, components, and design tokens.
Maintain design consistency across multiple products and workstreams.
Support design operations, file management, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
Promote scalable design practices and reusable design assets.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, UI Design, or a related discipline.
Proven track record designing and launching digital products at scale.
Experience leading multiple design initiatives and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking, problem-solving, and measurable business impact.
Advanced proficiency in Figma, FigJam, Miro, Jira, and collaboration platforms.
Experience creating prototypes, design systems, and developer-ready specifications.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English. Arabic language skills are strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in healthcare, government, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Experience designing bilingual and right-to-left (RTL) digital experiences.
Familiarity with analytics and experimentation tools such as GA4 or Mixpanel.
Understanding of privacy, security, and compliance considerations within digital products.
Experience conducting usability testing and customer research.
