A leading organization based in Brussels is seeking a Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of its data architecture. The role is central to the organization’s data engineering, data science, and business teams, with a strong focus on scalability, governance, and strategic alignment.

Responsibilities:

· Define and drive the data strategy, aligning architecture with long-term business objectives.
· Design and optimize scalable data architectures to support analytics, AI, and operational needs.
· Establish standards for data modeling, quality, security, and performance, including governance principles.
· Provide technical oversight and promote best practices across data engineering and science teams.
· Ensure architectural consistency and system integrity throughout implementation.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to balance ideal architecture with operational and budget constraints.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Proven experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer with architectural responsibilities (5–8 years).
· Expertise in data architecture (Data Warehouse, Data Lake) and dimensional modeling for relational databases.
· Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure), Python, SQL optimization, GDPR compliance, and DevOps/DataOps principles.
· Strategic vision and ability to anticipate future data needs and align with business goals.
· Excellent communication skills in French, Dutch, and English, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
· Analytical and pragmatic mindset with a focus on actionable solutions.
