Job Summary
The IT Project Manager will oversee and coordinate IT projects, ensuring timelines, progress, and changes are effectively managed. This role includes monitoring project development and providing regular status reports to keep all stakeholders informed.
Objectives of the Role
- Build and develop the project team to maximise performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, including scheduling, scoping, budget estimation, implementation planning, and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Analyse and communicate project status, revising scope, schedule, or budget when necessary to meet requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and teams, serving as the primary point of contact for project updates and changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Define and clarify project scope, develop project plans, and deliverables (scope, time, and budget).
- Identify project needs, including resources, team members, and cross-departmental involvement.
- Assign tasks, provide direction, and motivate team members to achieve objectives.
- Ensure quality across all aspects of project execution.
- Adhere to the Julius Baer Project Delivery Framework.
- Identify and analyse project-related risks.
- Control project timelines, progress, and changes to prevent budget overruns.
- Implement and manage necessary changes to meet objectives and maintain quality.
- Document and evaluate project progress at each stage until completion.
- Produce and maintain project documentation in line with internal standards.
- Monitor and report project status, including schedule, budget, scope, and risks, keeping stakeholders informed.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager within the financial sector.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Solid organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and JIRA.
- Analytical and critical thinking mindset.
- Fluency in English; German and French are advantageous.
- Experience with Temenos Core Banking software (T24 and/or Triple’A) is a plus.
