We are looking for a Mid-Level Virtualization Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role involves managing and supporting enterprise virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere 8, vSAN 8, VMware Aria Operations, VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator, Nutanix (ESXi & AHV), and VEEAM backup & recovery solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in deploying, administering, and troubleshooting both VMware and Nutanix platforms. This includes practical knowledge of Nutanix Acropolis (AHV) and ESXi-based clusters, performance optimization, hardware compatibility, and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) best practices.
A solid understanding of ITIL practices is also required, with proven experience handling incidents, events, changes, problems, and operational tasks in a structured environment.
Your mission:
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware vSphere 8 and vSAN 8 environments.
- Operate and support Nutanix hyperconverged platforms with both ESXi and AHV hypervisors.
- Utilize VMware Aria Operations to monitor system health and performance.
- Automate tasks and workflows using VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator.
- Manage VEEAM backup & recovery operations for virtual environments.
- Handle ITIL-based ticket workflows, including incidents, events, problems, changes, and service tasks.
- Perform upgrades, patching, and capacity planning for virtualized infrastructure.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure operational excellence.
Your technical skills:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with VMware and Nutanix virtualization platforms.
- Strong knowledge of vSphere 8, vSAN 8, and Operations Manager.
- Experience with Nutanix (ESXi & AHV environments).
- Familiarity with VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator for automation.
- Experience with VEEAM backup & restore in enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding and practical use of ITIL processes.
- Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., VCP-DCV, Nutanix NCP/MCP) are a plus.
Mandatory Requirements:
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken). Any other European language is a plus.
- You will work in shifts (7 AM – 20 PM):
o Early: 07:00 – 16:00.
o Late: 11:00 – 20:00. - On-call: mandatory rotation covering 7 consecutive days including weekends.
- Teleworking Friendly: Remote work is supported, but candidates must reside within 1 hour commuting distance from the office.
- Eligibility: Only candidates from European Union (EU) member states will be considered - Security Clearance.
