We are seeking a Technical Lead Java or Senior Java Developer to strengthen the development team within the IT department of a major financial institution. The role involves leading and delivering enhancements to a strategic application used across multiple geographies for fund valuation and administration.
Responsibilities:
· Minimum 7 years’ experience in Java development.
· Strong expertise in Java, Spring Batch, Web Services (REST/SOAP), and SQL.
· Familiarity with WebSphere and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
· Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality code.
· Experience in performance optimisation and incident resolution.
· Excellent communication skills in French and English.

Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of development tasks across one or more application modules.
- Deliver enhancements in line with strategic projects and modernisation goals.
- Understand and master the current technical and functional architecture.
- Enrich documentation and improve test coverage.
- Implement incident management procedures (monitoring, alerting, root cause analysis).
- Optimise application code (performance tuning, refactoring, code clean-up).
- Collaborate on transformation initiatives (modularisation, technology upgrades).
- Occasionally support production activities outside business hours (weekends/nights).
