Systems & Cloud Operations Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Systems & Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and support hybrid infrastructure across on-premise and Microsoft Azure environments. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, security, and performance, while leveraging automation and AI tools to improve operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain infrastructure across data centre and Azure environments
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security
  • Support business-critical applications and databases
  • Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, application, and network layers
  • Provide Level 1–2 IT support, including user access and device management
  • Administer backups, patching, upgrades, and disaster recovery processes
  • Implement security best practices (firewalls, VPNs, access controls)
  • Use automation and AI tools to improve monitoring, troubleshooting, and operations

Skills & Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or cloud operations
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux and Microsoft Azure
  • Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and virtualization
  • Experience supporting applications and databases (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Grafana, ELK)
  • Experience working in regulated or production environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with distributed or edge environments (e.g., kiosks)
  • Exposure to high-availability systems
  • Knowledge of compliance or regulatory frameworks
