Job Description:
The ideal candidate will lead efforts to engineer a digital currency where the issuer (central bank or financial institution) does not have visibility into individual wallet balances or transactions or identity of holders of the currency, while simultaneously ensuring that anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and regulatory obligations are met. This requires expertise in zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), confidential transactions, decentralized identity (DID), privacy-preserving cryptographic protocols, and AI-driven AML monitoring frameworks.

Job Description:

This requires expertise in zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), confidential transactions, decentralized identity (DID), privacy-preserving cryptographic protocols, and AI-driven AML monitoring frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Design a digital currency framework where transaction details and balances remain fully confidential to the issuer while still enabling regulatory oversight under controlled conditions.
- Develop and implement zero-knowledge proof (ZKP)-based transaction mechanisms (e.g., zk-SNARKs, zk-STARKs) that enable private transactions while allowing for selective compliance disclosures.
- Ensure unlinkability between digital currency issuance, user wallets, and transaction history, preserving true financial privacy without centralized tracking.
- Build programmable compliance mechanisms that enable automated AML risk assessments without exposing private transaction data.
- Develop multi-tiered compliance reporting structures that enable on-demand AML verification for high-risk transactions while protecting low-risk user anonymity.
- Integrate non-custodial compliance mechanisms where users self-attest to regulatory requirements via Decentralized Identity (DID) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs).
